The redeveloped Green Lane Centre, includes
108.2m2 (1,165ft sq.) community hall, a fully fitted kitchen,
toilets, baby change area and an adult changing room with
a shower facility. The plan below highlights in green the
community areas of the building. Together these areas make-up
the Community Resource Centre. . . What’s a Community Resource Centre? .
Basically it’s a fancy term for part of the building
that will be dedicated to the community. With its’ own
independant entrance, community users and groups can use the
space for anything they like. From sports, such as football
and exercise classes, to community events such as kids’
bingo and coffee mornings. Dalewood Trust have kindly donated
a kiln so why not try your hand at pottery? . . How much does it cost? .
The community hall
is available to Whitby & District residents priced
at £7 per hour.
Non-community users can also hire
out the hall for £15 per hour.
